Awards
ATHLETE AWARDS CRITERIA
1. Candidate must be a permanent resident of Alberta as per the Residency Rule in the Softball Alberta Handbook.
2. Candidate must be a registered member of Softball Alberta in the current year.
3. Candidate must have participated in either a Zone or Provincial Playoff as a member in the current year.
4. Candidate must be registered in the category of which they have been nominated. (i.e. Minor for Minor award etc..)
5. Candidates will be judged on their accomplishments of the current year, sportsmanship, and their contributions to the sport of softball in Alberta.
6. Each zone is allowed to submit more than one candidate in each category.
7. Successful candidates will be announced at the September Board Meeting, and awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Banquet in October.
MERIT AWARD CRITERIA
1. Candidates must have dedicated many hours of their volunteer time to foster the sport of Softball in Alberta.
2. Candidates must have at least 5 years of service with Softball in Alberta but do not have to be registered participants.
3. Each zone will be permitted 1 Merit Award Winner per year and nominations must be submitted to the respective District Organizer by September 1st of the current year.
4. Successful candidates will be announced at the September Board Meeting.
NOMINATIONS
Nominations for athlete, coach, umpire, or merit awards should be completed and sent via email to Softball Alberta. If you are unable to submit your nomination via email, please print out the application form, complete the requirements, and mail to the Softball Alberta office:
