2010 Softball Alberta Winter Camp

Softball Alberta is having their annual Winter Camp again on March 5-7, 2010. For more information or a brochure click here.

 

Attn: Effective in 2010

All Saskatchewan residents who wish to register in Alberta for the purpose of participating on a registered team in Alberta for league or provincial play must obtain a "player release" from Softball Saskatchewan. Deadline - May 1st.

A copy of an approved release form must be submitted to Softball Alberta with your league and provincial player rosters.

2009 Softball Canada AGM Minutes

Some of the notable motions that were passed include:

• Effective 2010 - the "Female" Midget pitching distance be changed from 40' to 43'
• Effective 2012 - The Midget age will be under 18 as of January 1st of the current year. (Male & Female)
• Effective 2012 - The Junior age will be under 21 as of January 1st of the current year. (Male & Female)

2010 Comp-Intro Clinic

Softball Alberta once again is hosting a Competition Introduction Clinic (replacing the old Level 2 Clinic). Coaches MUST attend both weekends of the Comp-Intro Clinic; if they do not, they will not be a level 2 certified coach. The total cost to attend both weekends for the Clinic is $250. See below for more information regarding the clinic:
